What Are Flythroughs?
Flythroughs are cinematic long-take sequences that carry the viewer through digital worlds with speed, control, and immersion. Built in Unreal Engine, they combine real-time worldbuilding with highly choreographed camera movement to create visual experiences that feel expansive, fluid, and built for impact.
Why They Work
More than a way to preview a space, flythroughs are a powerful storytelling format. They can reveal architecture, amplify scale, build atmosphere, and introduce visual ideas that would be difficult, impractical, or impossible to capture through conventional production alone. The result is a format that can feel grounded, surreal, or somewhere in between always cinematic and always memorable.
What We Build From
A flythrough does not need to begin with a finished world. In many cases, it starts with fragments: a 3D model, CAD drawing, site plan, moodboard, photography, brand asset, reference video, or creative deck. From there, we develop the environment, define the visual language, and shape the movement through it. Whether the brief is highly resolved or still taking form, we translate early inputs into cohesive cinematic worlds.
How We Approach Them
At CG Labs, we treat flythroughs as direction-led visual systems. We shape the environment, camera path, lighting, atmosphere, animation, and finishing as one cohesive piece so the final result feels intentional from the first frame to the last. The goal is not simply to move through a space, but to create a visual experience that defines a mood, elevates a brand moment, and gives the audience something they can feel.
